Research HU: How do you train teachers in teaching newcomers?
In the Netherlands, schools and teachers are not well prepared to educate newcomers, according to a recommendation from the Education Council, among other things. That is why a study by Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (HU) looked at how Flanders and Sweden organise the education of these children. In particular, the study examined how they have realised the professionalisation of teachers. And whether we in the Netherlands can draw inspiration from this.
